I know a lot of fans are upset about the price of this collection and the apparent lack of new features—myself included—when we were promised so much by Yates and the rest of the Davids after the miserable lack of additional footage, behind-the-scenes insight, and the like on the final film’s blu-ray. However, this makes it sound like we’ll be unreleased details on what the set will offer each week on harrypotter.com. Do ya’ll think I’m reading that wrong, or is are others getting similar impressions?
I really hope that’s an accurate reading, because where the content stands as of now is pretty pathetic. Like any devoted Potterhead, I want my hands on those maps, extra art, etc.., but without any other new stuff than that in the bundle, it feels like the company is taking advantage of the fans’ support. This doesn’t really jive with the WB we’ve come to know, especially in Potter’s latter days, with the opening of WWoHP, the last two films’ releases, Oscar campaign, final film celebration, etc… So I’m really hoping they’ll pull through and blow us away with these new details on the ultimate collection set.
Don’t write them off just yet. Let’s keep our fingers crossed!
